I think they should have a contingency plan for weather delays . Give them an extra hour or two to fish in the afternoon instead of cutting the day short . There is more than enough time for that .

Obviously they do, they cut the day short. Changing the logistics at the end costs $.

Keep an eye on Justin Kerr guys.  Not only is he a good buddy of mine (fished with him several times), but he's a great stick. He's dominated multiple western circuits, including FLW. 

 

This is his first Classic and is a dark horse because of it.  Plus he's from the west. The announcers haven't even mentioned his name. But I think he's going to surprise a lot of people.

 

He was 22nd yesterday and is currently 7th.

I know they have an hour or so drive from the lake to the weigh in and are getting a police escort, so that could be one reason they aren’t making up the lost time.
