Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 28, 2021 Author Super User Posted April 28, 2021 All three items were shown as being in stock, just thought it was a tad long in between the order and the ship date. Orders I placed about a month ago didn't take quite as long. Also, I did not mean to post this as a bash on TW, it is what it is, I'll wait. Thanks for all the replies. 2 Quote
VolFan Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Several dozen orders with TW over several years and I can’t think of a single problem. They’ve helped with warranty claims on a rod for me as well. I do always spring for the two day though. 1 Quote
Revival Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Pre California Covid shutdown/restrictions I would get my order in under 24 hours if my ordered was placed before 12:30pm Pacific Time. There was 1 week couple months ago, where I got my order in less than a day. But my following order was back to taking around 2 weeks again. It could be worse...I have friends in Hawaii that have to pay $25+ shipping every time they place and order even if it’s over $50. Quote
huZZah Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 My TW orders not only take forever, they trickle in over the course of a month or more. Regardless of whether it said “back order” or not. I get my Cabelas orders in 10 days. Quote
suzuki2903 Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Glad I’m not the only one with tw shipping issues ... first order said processing would take three weeks.. ok whatever! Ordered a rod a few days later and got the same email. Three weeks just for processing! Nope no thanks, I called and canceled that ordered and found the rod cheaper even somewhere else. Done with tw until things get straightened out with processing and shipping. keep in mind all was in stock and no back orders ..... Quote
Kdizzle Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 I just purchased the 7'3" 13 Fishing Heavy Action casting model from TW. Will update when it arrives. Have a feeling its gonna be a while. Quote
CrankFate Posted April 28, 2021 Posted April 28, 2021 Waiting on an order from ***, the Shimano reel is “preordered” the Megabass rod is “backordered” - I don’t want to get flagged as political, but I think “Covid” delays are a code word that means a certain country with lots of people, that makes nearly everything, is slowing down production because two major countries that have all of their factories there, claimed they caused the crisis or blamed them for making it worse. I don’t think blaming the online dealers like *** and the producers like Shimano or Megabass is warranted. Covid has changed a lot of things. I don’t think it’s something that dealers and manufacturers have control over. Quote
E-rude dude Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Let’s add to that this. As a truck driver, the country has been losing truck drivers for years. The driving force is aging and younger people just don’t want to work the hours we work. COVID accelerated that problem immensely. Drivers retired earlier or just left all together. I heard today 20-25% of gasoline tankers are parked with no one to drive them. Demand is high and supply is low. Get ready for $5/gallon gas folks. P.S. If your making less than $65,000 per year. You might want to go get a CDL. I work in HazMat Cryogenics and pulled in $97,000 last year. Not bragging. Just letting others know there are jobs out there that pay very well. You just have to want to earn it. 4 Quote

Not real excited about paying for shipping or waiting days for items to arrive. I've always bought items in store, in person. I suggest talking to your local tackle retailer and ask them about carrying X-Zone baits. I'm positive Jim would be happy to supply them. 2 Quote
Johnbt Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 So far TW has been predictable. They said they'd ship the first order 2 weeks after I made it and they did. Two weeks ago they notified me they'd received a Loomis rod I want, so I ordered it along with a few more things. It is scheduled to ship tomorrow according to my order page/tracking/etc. And that takes care of the gift card my wife purchased just after the first of the year during the sale. Now if the 12" Chinese trailer tires and wheels I ordered 12/2 will just come in at this other place... They have an M rating = 81 mph. My current tires are good for at least another year. Quote
li_bass_hunter Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Pre covid orders always shipped out the same day or next regardless of standard shipping or two day. Now orders take much longer unless you pay for the two day or next day which is worth it especially if you spend over $50 Quote
