I have the Garmin Echo Map plus 93 SV with Panoptics live scope does anyone know if this unit is operable without the transducer and just the live scope.

Want to buy the Minn Kota ultrex trolling motor with spot lock with built in SI and DI transducer and is compatible with my Humming bird SI But no where to mount the Garmin transducer My live scope is mounted on a separate side mounted shaft.

I just bought one BPS had on sale with the GT54 Transducer and it came with a plate that goes on the bottom of the TM held with a big clamp and the stuff to secure the cable to the shaft.  Now, if you have the GT56 transducer I can see where that would be a problem since it a few inches longer.  I have spent the past two days reading a playing with this one and it looks to me like you use one or the other, so I don't see why you would need the transducer attached if you have the Panoptics  attached.  However, I don't have the Panoptics to verify that.

Not sure how much you have read through the manual yet but if you haven't done so already, I would go in the GPS setting and turn the WAAS on.  It's not on as it comes out of the box.  That make a big difference in accuracy in the southern states, like from 20' to a foot or so.

Yes, you do not need a transducer hooked up to the 93 sv just for livescope. I do this now. This is exactly like the ice fishing guys do, 93sv and livescope with no transducer.

The Minn Kota trolling motor with the SI and DI transducer will not work with the 93sv unless you buy the transducer adapter cables such as US2 Adapter Cable / MKR-US2-12 - Garmin Echo which totally defeats the purpose of your high end transducer on your minn kota to the garmin as it would just turn your transducer into a us2 unit. In other words, your minn kota mega si transducer will not work with the garmin unit. This why you will see guys running multiple units up front.

Are you looking to hook up the new minn kota transducer to both the garmin and minn kota displays at the same time?
