Quarry Man Posted March 11, 2021 Posted March 11, 2021 Not getting very clear images on my Garmin unit at the console. I can see the bottom well and what I think are fish, but there are tons of streaks and smudges on the screen that definitely shouldn't be there. I want to know how to fix this. thanks Quote

If the former, need a rectifier circuit between the unit and the battery at the very least...second/separate battery would be better. If the latter - the TM can cause RFI to 'jumble' the signal somewhat...need to mount the transducer in a different location. Quote

Quarry Man Posted March 11, 2021 Author Posted March 11, 2021 Thanks for the help anyways. I will mess around later in case you are on to something. I did use alligator clips which is far from ideal as I didn't have the chance to wire them correctly prior to a trip last year. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted March 11, 2021 Super User Posted March 11, 2021 I always use crimp-connectors with a touch of solder on all connections. Quote
