Hi everyone,

I am completely new to electronics for kayak fishing and What would I need to set up this side imaging fish finder on a kayak? I noticed that it includes a Transom mount transducer, and mounting racket. How would I utilize the transom transducer If I am fishing out of a kayak? Would the included bracket and transom mount transducer still work for a kayak? or would I have to get a different transducer?

I don' t own a Kayak but I know that Humminbird does make a mounting bracket for Kayak transducer mounting.

Yak Attack, YakGear, Scotty and Ram all make transducer arms for kayak/canoe that mount the transducer to the side.

This is my Scotty mount on my canoe

Depends on what kayak you're mounting this all on. Some have spots for transducers, some don't.

I personally hate the arm style mounts. I'd install it on my rudder before I used one.
