Super User MN Fisher Posted December 30, 2020 Super User Posted December 30, 2020 I don't know about the Fury 703 (M/F) as it's new and I haven't used it yet...but I've been very happy with my Fury 702 (ML/F) for finesse work. If the 703 is as good for what I'll be using it for as the 702 has been - I'd say go with the Fury. Quote

I have zero experience with those two models. I do like my older HMGs for a rod in the $100 price range. Okuma EVX 7' 1" MF is also on sale at TW...$103 rod for $73. The Daiwa Procyon is another possibility. I bought one for a brother-in-law a few years ago. It is his nicest rod as he buys (really) cheap stuff. BuCoo is always a nice option at this price range. May want to go MH as they fish a little light. At least the baitcast rods do. Never fished a spinning rod. 1 Quote

I think I will I have a mh that I love. Yeah, while the Fury series are great rods for the price, the Sierra is a huge step up IMO. Especially from now until the 8th when you can buy the Sierras for the price of a Fury. It's a no brainer, at least that's what the bait monkey says. Haha 1 Quote
