I have a lead acid battery from a game camera I'm using to power my Garmin 4+ fishfinder. It's a bit heavy, maybe 8"x4"x4". Wondering if there are any new lion batteries that will save me some weight.

Pretty much any lithium battery will save you weight.  I used a Nocqua for two years but last year went with an Amped Outdoors 18ah battery for my Garmin.  Love it....both weigh next to nothing.

This is what I have been using for the last eight months.  Pricy, but made for Kayak fishing. Weight is 1.16 lbs. IP67 rated.

As mentioned above, the Noqua battery is compact, lightweight, and the 10 - amp/hour version as not halfway discharged after 6+ hours of continuous use. Shown with a Striker 4 Plus.  Love this battery.

Amped Outdoors 12a for my FF. Last a couple days

I’m running the Nocqua.  There were some growing pains with my first battery.  It would only charge to 11.99V and it seemed to tick down very quickly running my Hook REVEAL 5. (0.9a per hour) I contacted Nocqua and they sent me a replacement battery asking only that I send in my existing unit.  (Honor system). - GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!  Very trusting.

I just got the battery yesterday (the replacement). I’m running my FF in Demo mode to run the battery down somewhat - like the instructions state. I hope this new battery works better.   I hope it charges to 12.4v like I think it should. My old battery was short five hours of run time straight out of the gate.

if it still sucks, I’m buying a local guys battery.  12 17amp hour.  He puts it in a battery box with plugs and switches.  Saves me the time and money of building my own battery box.   I would have and external volt meter, usb ports, and other shanaigans if I built my own. Probably cost me $500 not including the ER copay when I cut my hands, or get a shard in my eye :) the guy is on a local kayak forum.

I use the Nocqua to run my Garmin 73SV ususlally for 6+ hours.  I have a TwinTroller that uses a 12 volt battery for the dual trolling motors and I didn't want to drain it more with the elcectronics.  I have had it a year and I generally go out one or twice a week.

Never had a problem.. Light, compact and waterproof!!

Wow, that Miady unit is about 1/3 the price of others. Almost too good to be true. The thing that discourages me about it is how people's reviews indicate there isn't a way to get warranty or other customer service.

I've used mine for 2 seasons with no issues, and I know a few other guys who have them as well. For the price, it craps out, I'll just replace it.
