It’ll interesting to see how it works. They’re late to the part but I’m guessing they held off until they perfected it. We shall see.

If, and that's a big if they do release it in March I will have it as soon as I can get one.

I bet it ain't cheap

$1,499 is what it says it will be. I was expecting more, but with no "black box" and just plug and play I guess it could be that low.

$1500 for a transducer....

I have old SI technology. 1198/1199 with no other bells and whistles. The Garmin livescope images look interesting. I don't have HB 360, but IMO, for my kind of fishing, I think I would prefer that over the "live" imaging. The sad thing is, as much as I like side imaging, I prefer 2D. Guess I'm just old. I grew up in the days of paper graphs.

I like my M360 and it really fits my style of fishing. I'm not sure the LIVE would help me much at all. I look for structure more than I do actual fish. I will probably get it just to try it, but I am new to all this "imaging" so I need all the advantages I can get. LOL

When I look at the livescope videos on youtube, they are intriguing. Is it a technology for bass fishing??? I'm not so sure. Mind you, I'm all for having great electronics, but... I've also scrolled back on bass fishing and have been doing a lot of multi species fishing for the last few years. If you are a shallow water fisherman, you'd be wasting your money. Livescope doesn't work for frogs on mats or punching cover. It won't work for beds. Unless I'm deep water fishing, I see no advantage.

I will be new boat shopping next year, knock on wood. Electronics play a big part in things as far as financing.

^^this.

If I find structure/cover with electronics I am probably going to cast to it independent of if I can see something moving around near it with the live system. The live systems aren't quite good enough yet to convince me there are absolutely no fish hiding around.

I’ve heard it’s more popular for crappie than bass

Ive seen some really good videos with crappies in flooded trees in deep impoundments. For example trees are in 30fow and crappies are schooling 15ft down. Thats a huge advantage.

That's about what I was going to guess as well.

i bought my LS for bass fishing - in depths less than 12ft of water and have zero issues with in in perspective mode. I have a Terrova and cannot mount it to the shaft so its a side pole mount for me. With that being said - i found it most useful to understand what I am looking at on my side/down imaging which I say is way overlooked.

The reason I love it so much - I can really tell if my bait is running at the correct depths plus I figured out what are actually bass vs. northern vs bluegill on the thing.

If you fish for more than just bass, LS or HB's LS version is for you. Plus, I really love the video game fishing aspect of it and I take mine off boat boat at the end of the year to let my neighbor use it for ice fishing.
