It made my NFL season to see Tyreek Hill get his own peace sign flashed in his face.

 

He does that all the time when scoring touchdowns and never gets a flag; don’t see why a defender would for doing the same thing.

For non-partisans, most Super Bowl games are duds, with notable exceptions.

This one seemed to have so much potential, but was terrible.

Tampa's defense or their defense coordinator Todd Bowles deserved the MVP award.  Unfortunately you can't give it to a coach and you can't give it a "unit" so they give it to Brady (who was efficient, but not really deserving) by default.

 

I think KC also had some interchangeable parts on their O line too which may have created blocking problems for Mahomes.  Seems like every time that KC got to a 3rd or 4th down, there was Tampa defenders in his face chasing him backwards.

That was good for one quarter, then it was no competition.

 

Brady got MVP for making that team believe they could do it.  Having Gronk didn't hurt either.

 

Chiefs tight end had a rough day.

A bit of an understatement;

Mitchell Swartz, starting pro bowl right tackle, IR with a back injury

Eric Fischer, starting left tackle, IR with torn achilles

Kelechi Osemele, starting guard, IR with torn tendons in both knees

Lucas Niang, projected future starting right tackle, opted out, only rookie to do so in the entire league

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, starting guard, opted out to help fight Covid in Canada

 

Britt Reid going and getting into a serious crash that badly hurt a child just over a day before the Super Bowl I'm sure didn't help Andy Reid concentrate on his play calling. It certainly didn't sound like it was any good.

 

The better team of the night won. It went exactly how I thought it was going to. Congrats and thanks to TB12 and Tampa for the new Costa sunglasses I bought from my bet on the game ?

Been a fan since the 80s. This winning thing is new to me. Even when they were "good", it was obvious they weren't good enough in past seasons. This was a winner either way scenario.
