Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted August 1, 2020 Author Global Moderator Posted August 1, 2020 I ordered my Tatula last weekend, it said delivery would be 3 weeks. It showed up today! I’ve already spooled it up and cast it a few times (one of the many pluses of living on a lake). Feels like a pretty good reel. I still have to dial it in yet. Quote
pauldconyers Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 I got one for my son to use as his first bait caster. I wasn't paying attention and bought the 6.3 model when I meant to buy the 7.3 for him LOL Quote
michael1 Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 On the Fuego CT bc reel can you pop off the side plate and pull the spool out the side or not? Quote

The screw in the center of the mag-adjust dial - unscrew that and the cover comes off. Only thing 'bad' about the Fuegeo. Quote

Plenty of threads (some with videos included) on setting up Magforce Z reels. Shouldn't take you long at all to be bombing that baby. Quote

I feel I have it dialed in pretty good, but everyone says they’re virtually impossible to backlash....maybe I’m just “special” because I was able to a couple times. ? 11 hours ago, pauldconyers said: I got one for my son to use as his first bait caster. The 8 is definitely fast, it’s going to take a bit to get used to slowing down when needed. Quote

Ya, it's not impossible to backlash - I've done it a few times on both my Fuegos...8.1 with 50# PP and the 6.3 with 12# YZH. I will admit it's much less frequent a happening than with either my Supreme or Presidents. Quote

Bet I have backlashed my Daiwas worse than you ever have. My Magforce 3D reels are the only Daiwas that I can't say I backlashed bad. Normally only a little overrun when I get carried away. Haven't backlashed my DC yet. Other than those two exceptions, I can truthfully say I am a master at backlashing on occasion. Quote
