Guys, looking at buying a 150 size Curado DC but wasn't sure what gear ratio.  I want an "all around" reel so I was thinking the 6.2:1 would be the best choice.  Do you agree?

I use 7s and 8s myself.  It is easier for me to slow down than to speed up.

I have the 6.2, And have used it for a few different things. Imo it excels with moving baits. I like it best for Spinnerbaits. I think anything faster wont slow roll them the way I like. Again in my opinion, it goes plenty fast enough for most moving baits.

I would probably get a 7 for general purpose. Most of what I use are 8s though.

I also find reeling slow on a 7 or 8 easier then having to burn a 6.

I have the 6.2:1 and have used it for just about everything.  Since it's primary purpose is crankbaits and spinnerbaits, I don't see where the fast ratio helps.  Personally, I think you just need to be mindful of what reel you have on and turn the handle accordingly.
