Not only is it Fathers Day, but it's also our 52 year Anniversary today. As we get older the time just seems to fly by very fast.

Happy Fathers Day to all ya's..

I had my first realization of time flying by recently. Now let me say I'm by no means an old man...at 37 id still consider myself very young. But a few weeks ago I sat down and thought wow I'm 37. Then I realized I've been at my " new" job for almost 7 years. Also remembered that next month on the 10th me and my lady have been together 9 years. Then I pondered the fact that my parents have been married 44 years. Last but not least I thought of my grandpa (moms dad)..last grandparent I've got. I remembered him retiring at 59 from the post office and army when I was a kid. Just called me to wish me happy bday 3 weeks ago...he just celebrated his 89th bday in February. Holy crap man.

Going from 55 to 65 took about 2 years. The years or the time isn't an issue. It's when inflammation begins. For me it was about 60. At that point your body begins to feel older as you realize a lot can change in a year or even six months time. Until that happens you really don't feel any older than you did years ago. My favorite saying... "This getting old thing is for the birds." That being said, I'm pretty healthy so hoping to maintain for awhile longer.

I'm like Rodney Dangerfield when he said that he was looking for the fountain of middle age.
