Hey everyone, I have two 7" humminbird units.  One is a Helix g3n and the other is just a g3.  I bought a lakemaster chip and like it alot. I use it at the helm but would love one on my graph up on the bow.  Do I need to buy another chip or is there someway I can share the chip between the two?  Thank you all!

I have two networked Solix and they share one Lakemaster card.  It's my understanding that you cannot do that with Helix.  It's possible that they changed that in the latest release.  One option is to buy and download individual lake maps and create your own chip.  They are typically $20 to $30 per lake so if you fish many lakes it's cheaper to buy the card.

As far as I know each Helix has to have it’s own card.

Too bad the other is just a G3, else you could networking to essentially view the screen of the console mounted unit from the bow with Hummingbirds.

It's actually one reason I'm considering a Hummingbird in my kayak along with incredible imaging. If I get the boys some Hummingbirds as well, I can then interface into theirs and see what they see etc.
