Put it this way. When it’s your time, are you gonna be laying there thinking. Boy I wish I worked more days in my life.

Would you think the rain would give them lock jaw? Let me show you the forecast. It’s currently 45 outside and a slight rain. Here is the 24 hour forecasted. Looks decent ! @A-Jay

While I am not a giant fan of chasing brown bass in the heavy rain, mostly because I've had little success,

there have been several trips where I could get a few 'between' the fronts.

Had to deal with whatever came before & after.

But net, scale & camera use trumps that action.

Bottom line, if it's safe - go when you can.

You never know what tomorrow brings and it's not promised to any of us.

Good Luck

Don't know about that - wish the brown bass thought so.

Lately I've been more of a Casting guru  . . .

Getting good at that !

If you're curious about how they are impacted by weather, and you have 3 weeks to burn, take Friday off and do a little experiment.  Go out both days and chart the results!  It's valuable research, after all ??

One vote for going both days!

That's kind of my answer for myself though. I really want to take a week off work, I need a break from everything in my life. Been a rotten year even without the virus. I screwed up recently at work though so waiting a little longer to ask the boss, but man I need it. Bad!

Problem is there's nowhere for me to go except out in the yak, which is fine really. But I can't visit my Dad on Lake Tulloch. Can't visit friends. Probably just hit the Delta.

Enough about me. Go FISHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every day that passes we will never get back. Every hour, every minute. Gone. Figure out your priorities.

Right on...it's time to do a little on the water lab work...and learn from the outcomes. Best teacher there is..time on the water. Now when I answered it's because I'm a largemouth guy..they may act different than smallmouth. If I had cool rainy days with any breeze at all if throw a spinnerbait all day!

What did you end up doing? I realize I am late to the show here but I'm in a similar situation of having new gear and dying to try it out, so I would have said go fishing. Then again, my answer of to fish or not to fish is always fish.

62 and a small chance of rain is not bad. 55 and rain can be a little crappy though. I cannot tell you how many times I had a bad day of fishing and then the skies quickly turn and maybe a light sprinkle begins and I start getting fish. Of course once the rain really starts it's a bit harder to catch them.

It was a slow day, I did end up with 6 fish in a 5 hours period , wasn’t the best fishing but I still csught some.  The next day and Sunday were amazing.  It’s sad though Bc now it’s supposed to snow.  I hate 2020 so far!! It was 70 and sunny this weekend and now calling for snow by Saturday... I don't understand

For me it's not the temp...it's the rain. Rain and a canoe don't really match well.

Actually I do have a manual pump I've mounted - one of those hand-operated kayak bilges with a hose. But that's mainly to take care of the water coming in from wake/fishing boats that like to cruise by at speed - seemingly trying to swamp me. Ya - the bass/walleye guys are as guilty of this as the pleasure boaters...no respect for us canoeists.
