That makes it even harder for everyone.... Yes it does. No visitors because of COVID. I'm worried as well because there are cases of it in the hospital. I saw her last week and she made a comment to me that the cancer didn't kill her but now she has to worry about the virus. Quote
Super User NYWayfarer Posted April 9, 2020 Super User Posted April 9, 2020 Horrible time to be in the hospital. My heart goes out to you and your family. So sorry to hear this. 1 Quote

Super User slonezp Posted April 9, 2020 Author Super User Posted April 9, 2020 Said she is cancer free. No definitive answer because they are unable to give her an MRI. Looks like Fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) caused a mini stroke. There's really nothing they can do and she's more at risk being in the hospital than out due to the COVID. She's being released this evening. We'll play it by ear for now. 3 Quote

Super User J Francho Posted April 10, 2020 Super User Posted April 10, 2020 Awe man, I hope she feels better soon. It's a terrible time for this. My queen's mom went in for cancer surgery last week. Everything seems fine, but it's a nail biter when you're in the middle of it. 1 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted April 10, 2020 Super User Posted April 10, 2020 I hope that it turns out well . 1 Quote

Super User slonezp Posted April 16, 2020 Author Super User Posted April 16, 2020 Maybe some good news. Maybe not even a stroke. The bleeding was in the frontal lobe. Possibly a side effect from being on blood thinners for so long. Mom and dad talked to the doctor today. They are hoping that once the blood gets absorbed back into her body, and some speech therapy, she may be able to speak again. 6 Quote
