my favorite lake is closed for boat launching. I think because the launch is run by the county which has minimal staff. good news is all state park facilities are closed but hiking trails and boat ramps are open

I have no clue .  Its a boat ramp . There is no personnel needed , no-one to come on contact with . Don t know why Twain is being singled out . The rest of the states lakes are open .

The shooting and archery ranges at the conservation area near me are closed. I haven’t heard anything about the ponds.

None here. My waters are shoreline and float tube. And I'll be the only one out there in <50F water. I consider it safe. Did lose some good water this spring to an ornery landowner whose closed right-of-way to that public water.

I do love this new governor! And I just received my lifetime fishing license yesterday. Like Cuomo she's been on the stick about this virus thing too. She's got my vote again.

Governor Mills, Commissioner Camuso Suspend Inland Waters Fishing License Requirement, Open Waters To Inland Fishing

March 20, 2020

Governor Janet Mills today directed Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner Judy Camuso to open all inland waters for fishing and to waive the requirement that anglers need a recreational fishing license to fish the inland waters of Maine. The order, which is effectively immediately, will run through April 30 and is intended to encourage Maine people to enjoy the outdoors as we confront the challenges associated with COVID-19. The Governor is considering additional measures to make Maine’s great outdoors more accessible to Maine people. She continues to urge those who go out to employ appropriate physical distancing measures recommended by the U.S. CDC.

“As an avid angler, I know there’s nothing better for the heart and soul than a little fishing,” said Governor Mills. “As we continue to navigate this challenging time together, I hope this order will motivate Maine people to do what we have done for generations: take to our lakes, rivers, and streams to cast a line. The great outdoors is still open. Please enjoy it safely.”

(PA) The Army Corps of Engineers are closing all facilities (pavillions, public fishing areas, restrooms, info center, etc.) but boat ramps are still open.  Pulled the plug of a tournament we were supposed to have tomorrow at Raystown.

I went out to a county park on Thursday and fished with no problem, and they even stocked trout earlier in the week.  Their facilities were also locked up.

Seems to me they're more concerned about large crowds than a couple guys floating on a boat.  Makes sense.

I think I'll be headed pond hopping this weekend before they take more drastic actions.

Illinois now has a "stay at home" order until April 7 so we can't even drive to private lakes apparently as it's "non-essential".

I don't think MA has yet, and to be honest many of them wouldn't make sense especially early in the year because no large amount of people will be there. I was hoping to get out this weekend, but it's still gonna be quite cold so maybe next weekend I will hit the water for a few hours for the first time in 2020 and man am I looking forward to it! It's about the only thing I can do these days

We have one local state managed lake that the water level appears to have been intentionally lowered to keep trailered boats out. That's the only one. I really have no idea why. The gate isn't locked and I was told by my buddy there were kayaks on it. It may be that DNR officers are expecting to be used as auxiliary regular LEO.

I just found out that the lakes the Army Corps of Engineers run have closed the beaches, rest rooms, and picnic areas. Campgrounds will remain closed until further notice. Boat ramps will remain open for now. Marinas operated by others you should call to see if they are open.

Outdoors allowed (have to find a lake) but it doesnt exactly say fishing is allowed.

Bass Pro Shops is open - its considered essential....

Gov. Pritzker issued a stay-at-home order. What does that mean?

Can I leave my home?

Yes, under the order, people can leave their homes to get exercise outdoors and walk their pets. Local roads, including interstate highways and tollways, as well as public transit, will remain open and operating. Under the order, homes and residences include hotels and motels, shared rental units and shelters.

I think most of the lakes, parks and recreation areas are open in North Carolina but I haven't checked as of today so don't hold me to that.  I've been fishing ponds but I'm going to the lake close to my house later this week when it stops raining.  Yep N.C. weather goes from 84 degrees to 44 in a 24 hr time span, common here in the spring!  The bass are biting and crappies most likely spawned already in some areas.   I'd go even if the close the lakes I'd just walk through the woods dressed in camo.
