Looking for users of these rods, what models and how they fish and and any thoughts. Leaning to the Carbonlites for my budget but am interested in all feedback. Thanks. Quote

Pretty sure it is the Signature series that dodgeguy thinks out fish similar priced rods. But you will have to wait for him to confirm that as my memory ain't what it used to be. Quote
Derek1 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 I have three of them now, the carbonlite’s. I really like them. I don’t have much experience with other brands to compare them to though. I have mh/f casting, m/F casting( soon to be my favorite I think) and a m/f spinning. All great rods, if your just starting out and don’t have much gear yet I highly recommend them. I did everything with the mh and the spinning rod for a whole season and didn’t feel wanting. There plenty sensitive and tough at the same time. I take them beating the bank through some fairly rough terrain All the time and don’t have to worry about them. Quote

OnthePotomac Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Big Carbonlite fan here for several years and am now up to eight combination of the older black, white and 2.0 and all on sale. I have MH 6'6, MH 7' and medium 7' and love them. They have gotten a lot of bad mouthing from some claiming everything from "falling apart" to "always breaking", but I have never had a problem with any of mine and they really take a beating on the Potomac massive grass beds often pulling out a bass with an equal weight of grass on it. I have very old wrists and the Carbonlites have been good to them. I also have three Carbonlite Medium spinning rods and one is a 7'2" incredible rod. My school teacher daughter has sort of claimed it as hers and she does well with it LOL. Actually going in on the 12th to trade in an old BPS Extreme from my rack on a 7' MH 2.0. Side story: when the grand son was fishing a pond with one I gave him he quickly learned too late not to dislodge a snag with the rod, so we took the two pieces to BPS and they simply gave him a new rod. I did not get paid for this testimonial. 1 Quote
