John of kansas Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 I'm trying to get insight on weather or not to change blades on an a-rig. Say from a silver willow to gold or even to Colorado or Indiana blades. I fish waters that are being pounded by the same rig day after day. Plus now the water is also dirty. Anyone have good or bad experience changing the blades and what was done to correct it. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 18, 2020 Global Moderator Posted January 18, 2020 I always use willowleaf blades but I'll mix up some silver and gold blades. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted January 18, 2020 Super User Posted January 18, 2020 I make my own. I have used Colorado silver red orange and chartreuse as well as willoe. They all work. Quote
Super User WRB Posted January 18, 2020 Super User Posted January 18, 2020 Multiple Colorado blades will cause a lot more resistance then willows. Indiana blades maybe a better inbetween type to try. You can also spray paint the cupped side pearl white or chartreuse for different color flash. Tom Quote
