Manly Studson Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 Today I fished a lake in middle GA. I traveled from the Midwest to visit relatives, and unfortunately I brought the cold weather with me. But today the temp rose into the 60s, and I opted to throw a frog around stumps. The bass were the most aggressive I have ever seen. They launched above the surface, tail and all. Is this typical of bass fishing in GA this time of year? Do you guys fish stumps in the winter in other parts of the country? If so, do you throw top water frogs? Quote
FishinBuck07 Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 I have had bass launch out after a bait here in Ohio as well, seems like it may be a magic water temp that causes them to get that active! Quote

I’ve never fished much in Georgia but the behavior you described is normal all over the southeast. Shallow water warms quickly in the sunshine 1 Quote
