Beautiful sunny & 27° day so I wanted to hit a confidence pond and in less than 20 minutes I was rewarded with 2 nice size bass. Didn’t measure them cause it was just too d**n cold. I’m guessing the small one is about 3lbs & larger one is 4lbs. Top 2 are the same bass and the bottom 2 are the same. I purposely went out with a cut down Junebug Hulastick and I couldn’t believe how much fight they had left in them. First one was a thump & run while the second was a tic tic, actually thought I was feeling ice on my line. It was just fun to get out and land these.

Awesome. Since I don’t have to deal with it very often, I love snow

Thanks, yeah don’t mind the snow it’s the negative temps and cold winds that make it tough for me

Single digits coming tomorrow night. Might take several days to open back up. NWS is giving us a big warmup by Christmas.

Nice bass. I would be fishing in the same conditions if I lived up North.

I live here and I do fish in the same conditions except for one problem; we froze over 3 days ago. Hope this warmup opens us back up before the next cold snap. Counting on some Christmas action.

Have you gone ice fishing before and did you like it? One of my fishing goals is to go ice fishing at least once. I have a open mind so I will fish for anything from bluegills to muskie.

I lived for ice fishing as a young man. I looked forward to ice up. In the 70's and 80's we had some very hard winters with ice from Dec. to March. But as I reached my 40's I decided that standing stationary over a six inch hole in single digit weather made no sense. I can tolerate thirty degree temps as long as I'm moving.

Thanks, that was my first time in the snow, I was just concerned about sliding down the bank and into the water, ?
