Super User Sam Posted December 16, 2019 Super User Posted December 16, 2019 Did you catch Joe Burrow's Heisman speech? It came from the heart as the thanked both Ohio State and LSU for all they did for him through his college career. If you want to see a genuine all American guy pour out his feelings you got to watch this video. Jeaux is a super football player and a better person. Geaux Tigers! 3 1 Quote

I thought it was great he included Ohio State in his acceptance speech. The family seemed to be blown away during the season by the friendliness of the LSU people and the warm welcome they received from being Yankees. 1 Quote

Yes he felt a learned a lot from the coaching staff at OSU. I just recently found out he was from Athens Ohio. I graduated from Ohio University where his dad was a defensive coach. He made it a point to mention the poverty level associated with SE Ohio. Quote

Yes he did. That was a wonderful salute to the people of SE Ohio. All I know about Ohio is that it is the cradle of coaches. Difficult for either school to be upset that he hugged both sets of coaches and gave both schools credit for his accomplishments. 1 Quote

Small world! My wife and I both went to Hocking Tech, spent a few years in that area. Joe was not lying when he said people don't have much in that area. Other than Hocking and Ohio U there is not much else to speak of in that area. Glad he brought attention to the folks in that area that needed help, all that money they raised will maybe put a dent into some of the poverty in that area! Quote

Ohio St should have beat Clemson easily, they left WAAAAAY to many points on the board and got a real bad call and a review that might have cost them a win. LSU won't leave those points out there. Super User J._Bricker Posted December 29, 2019 Super User Posted December 29, 2019 Two good games last night. Joe Burrow looked very polished throwing darts all over the field, OU’s receivers didn’t help J. Hurt with some untimely drops. Clemson and Ohio State was a heavyweight matchup, and I was surprised by Ohio State’s team speed early against the reigning National Champs. The last 4 minutes both teams played with the heart of a champion, that last second pick sealing the game. I’m looking forward to January 13th like the rest of you. @Sam, nicely done adding Bobby Boucher in the trio of the 9’s ? 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted December 29, 2019 Super User Posted December 29, 2019 BTW, I watched the game from Start, Louisiana and was surrounded by Tiger fans. Luckily I knew what was about to happen, well maybe not to that extent, but I wasn't really surprised. I hope LSU gives Trevor his first loss as a starter. 1 Quote
