Leo Vann Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Hello! I’m spooling my spinning setup with 15 lb hi-vis braid. I will be using a leader. I am trying to decide between Sufix 832 Neon Lime, and P-Line TCB 8 Hi-Vis. I have used braid for a year or so now, but I’ve never used Hi-Vis. Which keeps color, and works best? Quote
Yumeya Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 The TCB 8 keeps its color better over the Sufix IMO. I prefer the P-line. Quote
Leo Vann Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 Just now, Yumeya said: The TCB 8 keeps its color better over the Sufix IMO. I prefer the P-line. I see. I got worried, reviews on TW are saying it fades super quick and they might as well have left it white. So the P-Line TCB 8 holds it’s hi-vis color better than 832? If so, great! I’m going with P-Line in that case. Quote
The Bassman Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 All braid fades regardless the claims. Some just faster than others. 2 Quote

Super User NHBull Posted November 27, 2019 Super User Posted November 27, 2019 I prefer 832 even though it fades slightly quicker. I don't care. If fading is an issue, I believe Gamma may last longer Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted November 27, 2019 Super User Posted November 27, 2019 I use both, and both work very well. Color of my braid is the last thing I worry about. Quote

Honestly, like you, I don't really care how long the color stays. It casts so well, especially for the price, that I don't see a lot of reason to switch up. Quote

I’m simply asking which retains it’s hi-vis properties the longest. 7 hours ago, fishballer06 said: I use both, and both work very well. Color of my braid is the last thing I worry about. I see. Which one, in your opinion, casts, handles, and do you have confidence in the most? Keep in mind I’m throwing shaky heads, wacky rigs, lizards, etc... Quote

Yumeya Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Like others have said they all fade to white, but even after they do fade they are very visible. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted November 28, 2019 Super User Posted November 28, 2019 I haven't used it in awhile but for hi vis braid I liked PowerPro Depth Hunter. I know it's multiple colors but the contrast in the line made it easy to spot in low light/night conditions. It also held its color pretty well. When it started to fade, like others, I used a marker to color it but I would cut a slit in the marker tip to run the line through. 1 Quote
