Compiling the wish list now to get ready for Black Friday/ Cyber Monday and wanted to make sure I didn't miss out on anything that I may have forgot.

Feel free to put some of your list on here to make sure that we all are aware of what we might "need".

~ Bait Monkey Wish List ~  Great Idea !

My current list (which is subject to change at any time) is very short and contains only one item.

However, the "Benjamin Factor" simply can not be ignored on this one . . . .

I've got 39 items on my TW wishlist right now. Some expansion of my jig choices, filling in holes in my plastics (adding colors where I already have 1 or 2 of a type) and adding some other styles of plastics

You can add that planning edge box to my list too, (3600 size). Also hoping a glide bait or two shows up under the tree since I haven't gotten around to purchasing one for myself.

I recently found this rod holster thing while browsing on Ali Express and I'm going to pick one up since I've been looking for a creative solution to carrying two rods while on the bank.

I have been working on my Tackle Warehouse wishlist for a while now. I don't need too much this year -- that is after almost $500 of tackle (post discount) and 3 rods and one reel for another $500.

Since I'm pretty well stocked on tackle, here is my checklist

  • Replacement lures for lures that I liked and lost.
    • Few crankbaits
    • Whopper Ploppers (lost a fair share
  • Soft plastic replenishment
  • Terminal tackle replenishment
    • This year I just need new hooks.
  • New line as needed (in my case new mono for all the reels I run mono on)
  • Backup lures
    • Jigs (since I fish them often around rocks and heavy cover and lose them a lot)
    • Berkley Cutter Shallow 90 Jerkbait -- since this is my favorite shallow water jerkbait, that means I lose them
    • New colorado blade spinnerbaits -- mine from last year are pretty beat up

I plan on getting a few new rods and reels this year too.

  • Daiwa Tatula 7'1" MH/F rod - will use with my current reels just another rod to have in the mix. I have the older split grip 6'10" MH/F Tatula as well which I love for soft plastics but there are times I wish I had a slightly longer MH/F rod.
  • St Croix Mojo Glass rod either the 6'10" or 7'2" for my youngest son who loves cranks
  • Daiwa Tatula CT Type-R 6.3:1 for the above rod
  • Dobyns Sierra 703C for my oldest son for whopper ploppers, weightless plastics and crankbaits
  • Shimano Curado 200k 7.3:1

Do you have a link for that holster? It’s the least bulky looking one I have ever seen.  I want one for wading to hold my rod while rigging it up.

So far for BF I am looking at getting a Dobyn’s dx702c and an Alphas CT.  I am not 100% on either of them, it’s going to depend on the deals I can find.

I'm with A-Jay. Spot Lock is a game changer.  Two of my buddies have the Ultrex and  after fishing in windy conditions with them I am a believer.  Getting blown off a spot while re-tying, landing fish or any other "activity" that pulls you away from the trolling motor is a major pain and this technology mitigates those challenges.

I have a handful of baits that include hard swim baits and jerk baits but that's it.  My lure and terminal tackle is pretty dialed.

Spot lock has changed a ton for me.  I only have the terrova but it seriously changed everything.  Mine is a gen 1 so it is not friends with my fish finders but still is a beast of a motor.

I think I'll get the baitcaster. I don't have any in the platinum series but it had good reviews.

Save the money and get a Shimano SLX or a Daiwa Fuego CT. BOTH cheaper and better reels.
