-Bird stealing an original Deps 250 off the back of the boat ~$200

-Casting off a custom painted Hinkle Shad later in the week ~$220

-Building a grate-like lure retriever to drag the bottom and recover said Hinkle Shad (unsuccessfully) ~$30

-Breaking a rod casting a 3/8 oz wobble head $80

-Finding a stud on a dirt road leading to a flat unrepairable tire ~$200

-Finally getting the skunk off after 5 completely unsuccessful outings...

...Well if the above is any indicator, it didn't come without paying a price...

This last couple of weeks has not gone in my favor. I should have winterized the boat two weeks ago and started cleaning reels.

At least you don't do heroin.....Anytime I feel like I am "wasting" money on fishing I always look at it like that. LOL

Decent fish. What'd you catch him on?

Meh, it was less than 1 pound... Ive gotten good at taking fish pics haha.

Caught him on a Yamamoto Kut Tail worm in Plum color on a shakey head. My favorite clear water finesse bait.

Glad you beat the skunk, I don’t buy lures over $10 for such reasons. Well maybe not the bird reason but you never know haha

I feel your pain.  I blew my outboard late summer, rebuilt it, got skunked for weeks.  Then caught my PB 7.4lb on the 4th week.

I think I'm going to hand it up for the year before I burn out.  Better to end on a positive note :)

He's spending $200 on a single lure.  He can afford heroin.

That's a terrible streak! I can't find a decent price on a painted Hinkle anywhere... might be even worse than $220

That's a good one. My daughter got her braces off a year ago...just in time to get braces on my son. 13,600 dollars gone. pretty smiles coming though.

All I have to say is when I see some of you guys talk about what you spend on a single swimbait, let's just say a certain body area puckers, but we won't get into detail!!!!  ?
