Super User FishTank Posted November 5, 2019 Super User Posted November 5, 2019 I have never heard of RUNCL but found it on Amazon with someone else's recommendation. He said he liked it? Anybody use this stuff? Any good? I am a little skeptical of most of the off brands I find on various websites but this line sort of caught my attention and I was thinking of giving it a try. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted November 5, 2019 Global Moderator Posted November 5, 2019 If it works why change?? Power Pro makes braid, Sunline makes fluorocarbon, Campbell makes soup, Kellogg make's Frosted Flakes!! Mike 2 Quote
CashLovesBass Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 I have used that stuff before, and it seems pretty good. I got some 20lb in yellow and put it on one of my baitcasters. Did the trick! Quote

I have been using Invizx for awhile and like it but I have been looking for something in a good 15lb mono (I have tried several and I have some favorites). I just never heard of this stuff. I often find that most the off brand stuff is junk. This had so many good reviews and a guy I work with is a believer, I had to ask. I either wanted to confirm my suspensions or get some feed back on how good it was. Besides it comes in orange, it's my lucky fishing color.... Quote

I personally never heard of it. Everything we own is by trail and error. If you try it I hope it works for you. Mike Quote

Mike I absolutely hate regular Powerpro Spectra, I've had it come off my spinning reels with actual memory. That memory has caused wind knots in the absence of wind. I do like the Powerpro Super8Slick, but it's more expensive than good old 4-carrier Kastking which is surprisingly supple for the dollar/yard, doesn't wind knot nearly as bad, and absolutely slices through cover like a chainsaw. I would give it a try, it can't be more than 15 bucks for 200 yards, but I'm just guessing! 13 hours ago, FishTank said: I get what you're saying.... Berkley Big Game is my favorite mono for it's price and capabilities. Quote

I thought that was why I didn't have wind knots...lol Big Game is hard to beat for the money. Quote
