OK so I have a 16ft aluminum bass tracker. I currently have no fish finder at all on the boat. I have got the OK from the wife to get me some boat toys for Christmas, I have a budget of 2000. I am going to get a mk terrova with spot lock, built in transducer. So with 600 dollars I need a fishfinder. I am having a hard time cause I want something at consul but on the bow would get used more for fishing..  just looking for ideas. Was thinking of getting a 7 inch on bow and then just a little 4 in kayak style at consule... or get just one and make a swivel mount system so I can turn it and see from the bow. Also will the trolling motor TD work with garmin units?

There are two options for the built in transducer.  The MEGA imaging version only works with Humminbirds.  The Universal Sonar 2 TD works with most units but will require an adapter cable.  Here is a list of compatible units and the cable required.
