I just bought a new Curado baitcaster reel for bass fishing and was wondering what line do most of you guys use, mono or braid.  If this has been asked a million times please forgiive.  TIA.  Randy

it depends on the baits I am using.

I use braid for topwater.

copoly or mono for most horizontal baits. spinnerbait, crankbait, jerkbait, etc.

jigs, worms, or soft jerkbaits, I use sunline sniper fluorocarbon.

Same as above....

If it floats or I want to rip it out some heavy cabbage..... I use braid but this is not a 100% thing for me.  I am not a huge fan of braid but it does have it's purpose.

My over all general use line is 12lb Seaguar Invizx.  For Mono I like Sunline Natural or I will use P-Line CXX (co-poly).

I have been using the Seaguar Invizx on my Curado K and DC with no issues.

Braid to leader 90% of the time, the rest either straight braid or copoly.

I use mono . If your new to baitcasting I suggest starting out with a good mono . Once you get the hang of it,  then try braid and see which you prefer .

If I had to pick one line for everything it would be braid hands down.   40 lb. Power Pro.  If I could pick only 2 lines.... braid to mono leader.

Mono or Copolymer..

Very rarely do I use a heavy braid, flipping in Texas..

It's all personal preference and what/where you're throwing. I've recently switched over a few to the newer Trilene XT and I really like how it fishes over my old Stren and Big Game. A lot of guys like braid too.

I use both Sufix 832 on my flipping rod and spinnerbaits. Sufix advance mono on everything else.

It all depends on where and what type of fishing you are doing. I keep braid on one baitcaster and one spinning reel and mono on everything else. When it gets really cold I put flourocarbon on a baitcaster for suspending jerkbaits. Braid is thinner and slicker and casts better but it floats like a cork and is visible and  noisy underwater.  Mono seems to be good for everything except fishing slop
