VolFan Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 Any strong opinions on Triumph boats? I’m looking at a 17’ center console for bass on Wylie and a Norman, possibly a couple inshore trips a year, some French Broad river trips, and some general family fun pulling a tube. 3 people tops, including a 9 yr old. It would be my first boat so the plastic seems a little more user friendly. Happy to hear from some of the more experienced people. This would be along the lines of what I am thinking: https://charlotte.craigslist.org/boa/d/mooresville-2004-triumph-170cc/6946673762.html Quote
OnthePotomac Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 I do not own one, but see them on the Potomac all the time and envy the owner when the river gets real choppy and they go zipping by high and dry as I am creeping through the chop with my aluminum modified V hull. 1 Quote
WCWV Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 I owned a 15' side console many years ago (purchased it new) and it wasn't very stable, but it was a smaller boat. I only kept it a couple years because that, but I had no problems with it. 1 Quote
