I was looking into getting a couple hummingbird fishfinders for my boat. Is there a good place to purchase them cheaper? I was looking into the Mega SI G3N for the console and possibly a Mega DI G3N for the bow. I read online that people like to have the SI/GPS at the console and DI at the bow. I want to be able to get them at a reasonable cost and as low as possible. I would like a bigger unit at the console but there seems to be a drastic price difference going from a 7 to even an 8. Going from 7 to a 9 looks about double the price. I had a basic fishfinder on my previous boat so these types of electronics are new to me.

I see the 7" at ~$800, the 8" at about $1,200, and the 9" at about $1,500.

Seems to be consistent with the market.

I just picked up a Helix 7 Mega, G3 with SI, DI, and came with a $200 Navionics chip for $650 from West Marine, about 6 weeks ago, $100 off their reg price with FS. Rarely see 1st year models discounted. Comes with Hbird basemaps as well. Have a Helix 9 Mega, 3 years old as well and the G3 7 is every bit as good at almost 1/2 the price.

$650 is a good deal for 7" Mega SI and including the Nav.  I picked up G2 7" with Nav at Cabelas for $600, but it's not mega.  On the 7" screen, I'm not sure how much difference Mega would make though...   Anyone compared Helix 7" mega SI vs Helix 7" not mega (455kz)?
