I am looking for a good skipping reel.  I have read the Dawia Tatula SV TWS is a good choice.  They have them on sale at American Legacy for $169.99.  I am thinking about picking one up for this application.  Are there other reels I should be considering for this purpose?

I have SV reels: Tatula, SV105, Zillion and Steez.  If you’re skipping 1/4 oz and heavier, a Tat works well and is a great value.  If you’re looking to go less than 1/4 oz and/or weightless than the others would serve you best.

I had a harder time getting any distance skipping a weightless wacky worm last year with Tat/Zillion.  Switched to the Steez this year and yes, it’s as good as it gets for weightless.

I've got Tat SV and Zillion SV, best skipping reels I've ever owned and it's not even close.

Tatula SV all day. You don't need to go any higher end than that reel, it is an amazing skipping reel and multi-purpose reel.  I have it on a 6'9" MH/F Kistler Mag 2 and I use it to skip and do pretty much anything that isn't in extremely heavy cover.

While I'm not particularly fond of the tatula sv I will give it this one. If its intended for skipping purposes it's a hard reel to beat. Much more forgiving for this technique
