newyorktoiowa57 Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 So I am becoming quite intrigued by the Legend Extreme 70MF. I would be used for small plastics, potentially topwater and some traps. I am moving soon and need to consolidate my stuff, and would like to have a couple high-end versatile combos rather than a bunch of mid range, super technique specific ones. I would pair it with a Chronarch MGL HG. The grip on the stick looks like it would be super comfortable too. Plus the lifetime warranty. Quote
THE_Vue's Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 Should be a great rod. But I'm a big fan of the 6'8 med ex-fast does everything the 7 can do. My buddy has the old and new version with the cork. Iv handle them both and are very light and sensitive. Right up there with the NRX's Quote

Right up there with the NRX's I have the 6’8” m fast legend extreme and 6’10” m fast lengend elite. I’ll disagree with sensitivity comparable to the nrx rods. To me there less sensitive than the glx series and more along the lines of the imx. That’s just me. They are light though. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted June 10, 2019 Super User Posted June 10, 2019 I have the Legend Elite 7' MF and it is a great rod. Light, sensitive, and surprisingly powerful. It almost the perfect rod. Quote

Super User FishTank Posted June 10, 2019 Super User Posted June 10, 2019 Well.... I have the G. Loomis 783GLX. To me, this is the perfect rod. The Legend Elite 7' MF is just a fuzz under that. What would make it perfect> I am just really splitting hairs. I think it is just a bit less sensitive but the components are top notch. I paired the LE with a Steez ST TW and it has that perfect feel and balance I wanted. Quote

Super User FishTank Posted June 12, 2019 Super User Posted June 12, 2019 I have always been partial to cork. When I picked up the Extreme it felt great but weird so I decided to get the Elite. I think it boils down to personal preference. Quote
Nathan.bass.canada Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I have 3 xtremes, absolutly LOVE. The handles, to me they are the most confortable grip on the market. I also have IMXs and NRXs and dont feel they are more sensitive actually, always depending on what model obviously. Probably my favorite rod is the 6'8mhf with a metanium Mgl, the perfect combo for basically everything. nathan Quote
