Zoom trick worms with and without salt?

Went to buy a bag of Zoom trick worms today and noticed some bags labeled the original trick worm and others the super salt variety. I understand that higher salt content allows it to sink faster but I was curious for a trick worm which was wtter to go with or offered more usage in different situations and why?

Salted sinks, un-salted floats, like you said. The floating worm is great on shaky heads, or worm jig heads. It keeps the nose down and the butt-end floating. Really gets the fish triggered. 

I've never personally used salted, I always liked the floating trick worms.

I like the original on a shaky head and the salted for a weightless trick worm presentation especially if it's windy out. For weighted Texas rigs it doesn't matter for me.

I prefer plastics with salt because all blood contains it & Trick Worms really don't float.

I would say with salt for most fishing but if I want to do a shakey head or some other type of finesse I would go with the one without salt.   Personally, I have not had much luck on the zoom trick worm over the years but everything else zoom makes has been killer.

In my bathtub at least, I have not noticed much difference in sink rate between the two types of Trickworm.   

 

There are some minor weight variations between different colors however, with opaque solid colors being the heaviest and translucent solids/laminate being the lightest.   This affects sink rate a little but it’s nothing huge.

I don't see a lot of difference between the two.

Bass might hold onto the salty trick worms longer, but that is even debatable.

The super salts sink noticably easier and faster. Especially with wind.
