BenBJ21 Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I need new line for my bait caster and was curious about what line type to get. I used 50lb braid last season but was thinking about going for mono or flouro. I mostly Jig and crank, with the occasional spinner/chatterbait, and use a frog only a couple times a season. What do you guys recommend I get. Thanks Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 30, 2019 Super User Posted March 30, 2019 #12 Seaguar InvizX will work well for most applications, all-around fluorocarbon so to speak. Quote
928JLH Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Copolymer for everyday fishing. Use the good stuff for tournaments. Quote

Super User dodgeguy Posted March 31, 2019 Super User Posted March 31, 2019 Seguar makes good flourocarbon lines. I hated all the others. Sufix has sufix advance mono out. It's a copolymer. It has very little stretch and I really have to say it's more sensitive than flouro imho. The only thing is flouro is less visible. Sufix advance handles awesome. Try both. Quote

I was gonna pic some up to try but then found some reviews on here where people complained about it feeling stiff and old after a few trips. I take it you haven't had that issue? Quote

Haven't had it on long enough to comment. I have seen reviews where guys have used it all last year without issue . Quote
Super User MickD Posted March 31, 2019 Super User Posted March 31, 2019 No FC. Life's too short. By the time you find one you like you'll be too old to fish it. Big Game has a very large following on this forum, so I expect it is very good. If you're used to 50 pound braid, mono may disappoint because of its stretch, but it does cast very well. Quote
