Hey guys,

Getting real cabin fever lately so I’m gonna get a low profile baitcaster. I’m looking for one that I’m gonna be using for frogging and live bait presentations, so using about 50 or 60 lb braid, and putting it on a medium heavy. Hoping to get it under 100$ but I’ll go to 130$. I’d also like it to have a good amount of drag. Hope everyone is staying warm and if not I hope you’re at least catching fish in this cold! Thanks guys, tight lines!

If you want heavy applications I would also recommend a revo (there are many revos that will work), they have a multi disc drag stack. The carbon matrix washers are probably adequate, but an upgrade to all carbontex with cals grease will get you a lot more drag.

I'm using a KK Royale Legend Elite and love it. Been replaced by the Megajaws that has a better brake system.

You can Buy two of them with your budget ...

Great option as well

Yeah, Fuego CT is a good option for way under your budget.

Or.......you can buy Curado K's all over the bay for right at $130, you just have to look around.

Tatula sv can be had for under $130.

That seems unbelievable, prove me wrong so I can buy one XD

I've fished ~$100 dollar reels for years. Tatula CT for sure, better than the Lews MB. But look around ebay and you could be surprised at what you can find.

Tatula CT!!! Could not be more impressed with the one I purchased.

I’d look at the Revo S, it’s in your budget at full price and it should be cheaper on amazon. I had last generations Revo S and the new Generation Revo SX and both are great. For trying to keep it around $130 I think the Revo S is the way to go

Hey thanks for all the feedback guys, sorry I was traveling and couldn't respond. I am going to bass pro today. After looking at the specs of the Fuego, it seems like the perfect reel for what I'm doing. Just gonna see if its comfortable in my hands. I even put my shimano cardiff 401a reel on my medium heavy bass rod just to see what it would feel like lol. Seems like I haven't seen one bad review on the fuego tho.

They are currently out, but, I'd check back at the beginning of next month.  The XH's sell better and are generally 20-$30 higher.

Tatula CT. $30 is worth how good of a reel it is in my opinion.

Edit: look on ebay for a good deal on it.
