I have both and I prefer the Mojo. The E6X is way overpriced for what it is.

I completely agree. Stick with the Mojo!

I think the mojo is a really nice for the price and the e6x leaves something to be desired for a 190 dollar rod.

I really need to fish a different mojo and e6x. Grant it I paid next to nothing for my 2 piece 6’6” walleye series medium fast e6x and my buddy has a 7’ medium fast mojo. My e6x is light, balanced incredibly with stradic ci4+, I find the sensitivity better then my avid x which in turn should mean my buddy’s mojo and surprise with the power. Everything I’ve read the e6x is below the mojo/avid series but in my experience is the e6x was an excellent purchase. I now own 3 glx’s, shopping for 2 nrx’s and on is to replace my avid x. But the e6x will be staying. Love that little walleye rod. My buddies mojo feels... noodily. It’s crazy soft tip, I thought it was going be more like my 7’ medium avid x but they are two totally different rods!

My DS rod is a Mojo spinning rod and my shakey head rod is a E6X casting rod.  This really isn't a fair comparison, but I can say that I really like the Mojo rod and feel I over paid for the E6X.

Man maybe my mojo rod is just the model. I love my E6x rods though. All casting,  I have the 7’ mh/fast mag bass, 7’1” mh/xf jig and worm rod, and 7’5” h/f jig worm rod in the E6x and I really like them. They were a big step up in sensitivity from my dobyns fury rods.

The mojo bass bass rod I have is a 6’8” m/xf spinning rod and it’s really not so much that I don’t like it, but I have a similar Shimano Curado spinning rod that I really like and I use it for most of the same techniques I would use the mojo for. I’ll probably end up selling it, decent stick just doesn’t see a lot of work. I have nothing against St. Croix rods, quite the opposite, I have 2 from the Legend Tournament series that I absolutely love. Those are some sweet rods. The mojo just never really wowed me.

Out of curiosity how is the legend tourny’s compared to the e6x. Keep wanting to try a legend tourney or legend elite maybe. Just trying to figure which elite will fit my needs

The legend tourneys are awesome. I haven’t gotten to spend a lot of time with them yet but I’m impressed. Definitely worth the extra $80 or so compared to an E6x. The build quality is outrageously nice.

I have a E6X 803S 6'8" MHXF.It's light, sensitive and has plenty of backbone to fight the river Smallies I chase on the Great Miami.

It's also balances well with a Stradic FJ 2500

I also have a E6X 852S JWR 7'1' MXF  This rod just doesn't feel right,And I've been trying to sell it.

My son fishes with Mojos and I like them and don't have any problems with them.I think with the SC3 blank your getting a lot of rod for your money.

Haven't used the Loomis but have a Mojo Bass MJC68MHF that I consider my "heavy duty" rod. It doesn't see a lot of use but when it does, it's usually a 3/8 oz TX rigged 5-inch worm in deep water (up to 40 ft) using 12 lb test mono. I love it for that application. Something about the rod just feels solid and sensitive. But sometimes not sensitive enough so for the upcoming season, thinking I'll try it with braid and use it exclusively for deep water worms and bottom contact jigs. Same could also be used for frogs and thick stuff but in my home lake that's rare. Reel is a Curado 201K at 6.2:1.

Mojo Bass gets my vote (great rod at great price) but again I haven't tried the Loomis.

The avid X is a better comparison to the e6x as far as price goes... which the avid is a much better rod IMO

I have two E6X's and love them also. I have heard it said that certain models of E6X fish better than others and there may be something to be said about that, because it seems people either love them or hate them.

Personally, I like the Loomis tapers better than St. Croix (eg. the MBR taper esp. in the longer lengths is tough to beat).

I haven't fished with the e6x but I have the Legend tourney spinning rod in 7'1" medium/fast.  It's currently my go to shaky head set up with 12# braid to a 6-8# flouro leader.  Not the MOST sensitive rod you will find but does really well (especially with braid)

Me too, I have a small pile of various MBR rods and just love them.  I also really like the Loomis MagLight/XFast spinning rods, they are the best "tiny plastic on a jighead" rods I have found.

Hands down mojo>e6x. I got the e6x practically new in a trade with my buddy because he didn't like it. I am very glad that I did not buy the rod with my own money. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad rod, it just is not worth the price tag. If the e6x was ~150 then it would be a different story. Save yourself the money and get the mojo.

btw: I traded a used duckett ghost for the e6x...... will never regret that trade LOL

I’ll go against most  and say the e6x. I personally feel it has great sensitivity, I don’t know why others have issues with it

What's the better rod?

I'd say Mojo vs Dobyns Fury is more of an even comparison and debate especially for the price.

I was in BPS yesterday directly comparing the same weight/action of the E6X and Avid X and the Loomis was better balanced with a reel on it (I brought my own reel) and lighter. The Mojo wasn't as nice as either. However, all of them were nice, but direct comparisons the E6X was the nicest. I think once you're out fishing them all would be great.

Yeah. In this case the Fury wins for me.

If you're stuck between those two get neither. At the 200$ price point the Avid is the way to go IMO.
