Just wondering if anyone has used this line. What can I expect from it. As in, strength, stretch, manageability, sensetivity(bite detection and feeling the bottom), and anything that may be concerning. I am looking at this line because of the good reviews of Yo-Zuri's other line models. Any help and opinions on this line specifically is extremely appreciated.

I tried it a few years ago and did not care for it.  I thought it was not bad for the price but it did not last long (maybe 3 trips out before I noticed it changing) or perform as well as many others out there.  It did have a ton of memory and the 12lb I used got kinked easily.   I think it would be impossible to use on spinning gear.  I like their regular Hybrid line better.

The closest thing I could compare it to would be Seaguar Red Label.   It would be just a step below that in quality though.

I tried one also 12lb of those top knot, I found that the line is pretty stiff make difficult to clinch my knot (trilene knot) down. Also a little harder to control when bomb cast. The good thing is line is pretty strong and good abrasion resistance. I think I also had one time that line broke off in spool when cast. I’m not buying it again, actually I don’t think I’m gonna try any more fluorocarbon line period. All I need is copolymer line hybrid/Izorline and big game mono.

(Either of you two treat with KVD L&L, or is this straight out of papackage. I get That it's not the highest end Fluorocarbon. I am just trying to find a good starter fluoro. Ive used vanish it wasnt tearable was able to feel my football jig being drug acrosssed clean rock and able to make hard hooksets. Line memory wasnt all that great but it worked for bottom dragging a 3/8 FBH. This was 4yrs ago when I first started club tournaments. And I get that the price isnt in the FC Sniper or Invisx range so I really dont want those as a comparison. Ive hear good things and bad things on RL its always back and fourth.

Well, I have been a big fan of Yo-Zuri Hybrid for years and still am. However, a true fluorocarbon is

a different story. #1 is Seaguar Tatsu.   Less expensive alternatives would be Seaguar InvizX for

spinning tackle and AbrazX for baitcasting gear.

I have tried KVD line conditioner and it helps some but with this line it doesn't absorb water that much which KVD line conditioner is mostly made out of.   It would coat the line but after a few casts, it would just come off.

On other lines, KVD works great but on super hard lines like this one, it's just didn't do its trick.  I have since stopped using KVD line conditioner because of this reason.  It's not because I don't like it,  I just don't think I need it for the lines I use.  I may change my mind in the future because it works great on Hybrid.

I have used Topknot for the last year and am thoroughly pleased with it!  I use it on bait-casters only for bottom contact baits and crank/rip baits.  This line is not limp and stretchy like invizX so it does not do well on spinning reels.  I formally used Maxima and Sunline Shooter fluorocarbon and although I would say they both outperform Topknot in all categories it isn't by a large enough margin to makeup for the price difference.  If used for the proper techniques it is a very capable line.

I know this later in time than original post but I couldn’t agree with Ron T more!  Decided to try TopKnot moreso as a value purchase ($10 for 200 yards). The line diameter per pound test is much smaller on TopKnot versus Red Label, as well as Berkley 100% fluoro; just like the same # offering from Sunline or Seaguar. I’d def rank TopKnot above Red Label & berkley 100%, and in about the same as Invisx.  Maybe not quite as great as sniper but close enough that I’ll continue to buy TopKnot. Although I haven’t yet used it in 8# or 6# as a leader spinning setup, I have used 10# and was happy with it too. Hopefully I can keep getting this line at the great price I am now. It really has been a good line for me so far.  Used it all of last season.

I’m not sure how but my remaining 12lb top knot compare to Abazx is larger in diameter. I can tell them apart by eyes. Red label diameter should be about the same as Abrazx  (I only have red label in 10lb which is much smaller than 12lb Abrazx and much softer).

I don’t like topknot at all, stiff, lot of memory and harder to tie good knot. I’d prefer Red label over topknot, why I got 1000 yds of 10 lb spool, only FC I use now.
