Super User Log Catcher Posted January 12, 2019 Super User Posted January 12, 2019 When posting comments on here people often mention other members. These names are highlighted to make them more noticeable. How is this done? I have no clue as to how to highlight a name in a post. I only have a vague misunderstanding of how to operate a computer anyway. Thanks for any help you can give me. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted January 12, 2019 Super User Posted January 12, 2019 Use the 'at' symbol (shift 2 on a standard keyboard) then start typing in the name. Names will show in a list that matches. Complete the typing or click on the name you want to highlight. @ (Log Catcher) Remove the first space and the parentheses. @Log Catcher Quote

Smokinal Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Am I mistaken in doing this also sends a notification to said member? That way you can get their attention to a question or comment. Quote
