It's one of those programs that just kinda sucks you in.  The first season was boring and almost lost total interest in it.  This season has been the best one so far.  At least they are making it look like there's a chance of discovering something in the next couple of seasons, if there's anything there. Plus it's fascinating to learning the lengths those people went to hundreds of years ago and how the heck they did it.   I just feel that if they do find that mystical vault, it's going to be empty.  I think someone hauled the lions share of that stuff off long ago.

I couldn't agree more. I don't think there's anything of any major value or significance, I just enjoy the historical aspect of it. I like you find it fascinating the work that went into the shafts and tunnels with no more than shovels and maybe buckets.

I like the show and find it interesting , they do drag out repeat seans way to much, history is fascinating ! it will be cool if they come up with explanations that are provable.

I love seeing what people did, why, and how hundreds of years ago. I also love seeing these things unearthed after hundreds of years of being covered up. I finally finished watching this weeks episode last night. It'll be interesting to see what all they uncover in Smith's Cove. I'm curious to see what the explanations are for the numbering on the logs and I'm curious to see what the carbon dating says for the logs as well.

What is the curse ? That they spend all that time , money and effort and never find anything?

From their website:

An ominous legend says that seven people must die in pursuit of the treasure before Oak Island will reveal her secrets. So far, the body count stands at six.

They need to bring the guys from gold rush in. They would have the whole island excavated and sluiced in 4 episodes.

^^^This. And none of those pesky safety regulations to worry about.

So why not just wait until the 7th person dies, then go look??

Maybe thats too simple?

Maybe find a sacrifice like they do on Vikings, then they’re ready to dig up the good stuff!

The shows intriguing but theory after theory and no bag of gold or riches....it reminds me of those folks who chase after Bigfoot their entire lives and can never produce the proper evidence, yet they always find a way to dangle a carrot and keep the fable or mystery alive. But it makes for descent entertainment

The difference is they find historical artifacts all the time. It may not be the holy Grail. Or Shakespeare's manuscripts but it's all historical artifacts.
