I recommend a good article on this by a bass pro in the recent issue of Bass Angler Magazine.

I recommend some hot cocoa and Xmas music instead...

The only way anyone can determine what works for them is try it if you like it use it.

The only thing fluorocarbon line has in common with Nylon or copolymer monofilament is they are all monofilament* fishing line.

* mono means "single", monofilament means "single filament", verses multiple filament line. Copolymer is a blend of 2 polymers into a single filament. Hybrid is 2 polymers co extruded, a core single filament or multiple filaments with a outer extruded jacket coating, i.e.; 2 or more filaments bonded into 1. Braid is multiple filaments or fibers like yarn with a coating.

Have a jar at the ready. Try some ponche. Every country has a somewhat different recipe, but the last ingredient is usually rum, tequila, chumir, or my favorite, Pisco (The real stuff not that imitation Chilean stuff).

Yeah, OnthePotomac, your first post was so generic with no definite info. And, there are literally hundreds of conversations on this forum concerning these type of lines.  Maybe if the article brought out some new info you could've shared a bit to pique the interest and generate a thread that's not about hot cocoa....?

Well, let's try again, the recent issue of Bass Angler is the Winter 2018-2019 issue just released as the first of their quarterly publications cycle.  The article on Page 58, Mono vs Flouro, is thoughts on the subject by pro Pete Ponds, Tackle Tours' Cal Shew and Vicious Fishing VP of sales and marketing, Greg Meunier.  Not gospel, just a discussion on use.  New anglers on here may get something from it and the "experts" on here probably will not.

Going to need a resume and 3 references.  This opening will require a Masters Degree in B.S. but equivalent experience and training will be considered.  LOL

Stopped my subscription to BAG because paying for something that rarely gets delivered the past few years isn't my bag.

I realize BAG is BR site sponsor before the modes go crazy and maybe one of can post a link to the article, always interested factual data.
