zeth Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 20’+ only. How deep have you cranked with a regular cast and retrieve? Quote
RHuff Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 There are always variables to that. The deepest diving crank in the word will not go as deep if you use mono and a slower reel/retrieve as opposed to someone with flouro and burning it with a high reel. You can also make cranks run shallower than advertised and deeper than advertised. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted October 30, 2018 Super User Posted October 30, 2018 The Dredgers touch down at advertised depth . I have caught bass at 22 foot with a Berkely Dredger 25.5 on 12 lb Big Game .. 2 Quote
Super User WRB Posted October 30, 2018 Super User Posted October 30, 2018 Deepest deep diving crankbait I have caught bass is the Bagley DB3Dredge, the lure slowly sinks! Count it to 40' if that how deep you want crank it, that is what I did when catch winter bass on an old parking lot break. Tom PS, the same parking lot is today high and dry being used as a luanch ramp parking, the lake is 50' below full pool. 2 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted October 30, 2018 Super User Posted October 30, 2018 If you're up for it ~ The Lucky Craft LC 6.5 XD Crankbait and the SKT Mag DR are both Beasts and will run to at least 25 feet. But you'll earn Every Foot you get. A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User scaleface Posted October 30, 2018 Super User Posted October 30, 2018 Everything that swims recently posted some fish that he caught 23 foot on the Dredger 25.5 . 1 Quote
CroakHunter Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 I have found that throwing cranks on a braid like suffix 832 has achieved the most diving depth due to line diameter. I've hit 24 feet with a 10xd on 832 with a 5.4 ratio reel 1 Quote
Jelvas Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Killer Kraft Deep Monster 800. I´ve reached 24 feet with it and caught my deepest bass ever on a crankbait at 22 feet. 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 31, 2018 Global Moderator Posted October 31, 2018 Mann's 30+ hitting bottom in 27'. The bait got there easily, but fishing it was anything but easy. The bill on the bait is about the size of my palm Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted October 31, 2018 Super User Posted October 31, 2018 trolling dd22 with braid and mono leader back 125 feet with a clip on the transom touches 24 feet. It's how we get striped bass when we need a couple of quick ones for dinner. Quote
SWVABass Posted November 2, 2018 Posted November 2, 2018 Dredger here as well, 22’ 10lb yozuri hybred on a 7’6” graphite rod, 6.4:1 reel. The setup will launch them a country mile for me. Quote
Super User iceintheveins Posted November 13, 2018 Super User Posted November 13, 2018 The Dredger 20.5 does touch 21' at times on 10 pound fluoro and a slow speed reel 1 Quote
