I bought the Falcon Cara Head Turner awhile back and I absolutely love this rod. Just bought the Cara Finesse Jig rod and I’m getting more into Falcon Rods. So I’m reaching out to some of you who have been using their rods for awhile and want to know what some of your favorites are and what you mainly use them for

Also, can not wait for the new Expert Rods to come out in the Fall

I have those 2 as well. I also like the Cara Amistad for 1/2 -3/4 oz jigs.

The weightless worm rod makes a great jerkbait rod.

I have 2 6.5' MH Lowriders.  I use them for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits.

I have one Cara 7' H.  I use it for A rigs and whopper ploppers.

I had 2 more but sold them to a kid on the local high school team.

Lowrider Carolina Lizard Dragger; 7' Heavy Fast, lure weight 3/8-1 oz

Probably the best C-RIG rod ever produced by any manufacturer!

Thinking about one of these as a frog rod.  Mostly for the shorter handle, and because the blank on my 7'4 H Bucoo handles flippin and froggin without breaking a sweat.

Thoughts?

I've got a few of the Falcon Bucoo SR rods that I really like. The Trap Caster and 7' 4" H/F that I use for frogs are both great rods that perform well above their price imo.

I have a few Falcon rods.  Huge assortments of Falcon rods aren't readily available I the KC Metro area.

The Bucco Trap caster is one of the few rods that I have ever paid full retail price on, just because at that moment I realized that it was a huge step up from what I was using to throw lipless cranks on.

I have a couple of their finesse jig rods  (6'10" MH - on the medium side of MH)  These used to be called the Eakins Jig rod - now they aren't.   I have one from the Low Rider series and one from the Bucco series.  Both are great rods.   Right now the Bucco one wait in the ready reserve bucket, for that inevitable time when I break the Low Rider.

I do plan to get more Falcon rods in the future.   I like their out of warranty replacement policy - isn't dirt cheap, but it is fair and it is definitely cheaper than buying a new different rod.

Sportsmans outfitters has Bucoo rods for $69-79 with free shipping. I love my Bucoo trap caster.

The original Lizard Dragger I is not enough rod for frogs in my opinion. Although the new Lowrider series only has one Lizard Dragger and I’ve heard it’s more comparable to the old Lizard Dragger II. I can’t say for certain though.

You may want to try the Expert Bayou rod. It’s a shorter rod built for frogs. You can typically get an Expert for $150-160 if you make an offer on Ebay. Or just wait for Black Friday deals.

The Lizard Dragger will not only handle C-Rigs it'll handle frogs & flipping-n-pitching.

Yep, the 7'4 H Bucoo is a workhorse for me.  I had thought about just getting another one, specifically for frogs, but when I found the lowrider with a shorter handle I decided I'd give it a try.

I'll be picking up the lowrider during black friday.  I've heard great things about the Expert but I just bought an engagement ring, so I'm pinching pennies lol.

I got the new Falcon Expert a couple months back. I loved the weight, the action, the good sensitivity, especially the traditional full-grip. But on the fifth or sixth trip, I broke the tip while hooksetting a 1/4 oz jig that weights about 1/2 oz with a trailer. It's the "Hudson Special", 7'3, 10-20lb line, 3/8 to 3/4 oz lure weight. I was using 20lb braid with 12lb fluoro leader, and it's only a <12" smallie.

I got a replacement from the merchant, because I really like this rod. But I would be careful not to hookset too hard with it now.

My wife purchased a Falcon Bu Coo rod for Christmas. After a cold winter I was able to use the rod the other day. After about 10 cast the rod tip broke at the first guide. Defects happen I guess. I called Tackle Warehouse to return the rod. This has not been a very good chore. They told me to send the rod back for inspection. I am in NJ and they are in CA. After many mixed stories from them I was told that as soon as they receive a tracking number , they would ship the replacement rod. Not the case. After I supplied the info they tell me they need the rod back first. After some back and forth they agreed to send a replacement rod. However they do not have the rod and have no idea when they may get one in. They told me to select another rod as a replacement. I decieded to Falcon another chance and order the Cara series and just pay the difference. For some reason they said I had to choose a rod with the exact price of the defective one. i was forced into choosing a rod that i really did not want but???  And then when things seemed ready to go, Tackle Warehouse asked if i wanted a store credit or a full credit. My question to these customer service numb nuts is, if you offered a credit at the end of all this nonsense, why would you not let me buy the Cara series and just pay the added cost. So after this nightmare dealing with Tackle Warehouse  i went to Falcons website. What a scam of a warranty. If you have a warranty issue with them selling defective products it is on you to pay for shipping to send them back their defective product, but you are also required to send them $20 to pay to have the replacement rod shipped back. I really thought Falcon rods would be a good fit to upgrade my rod arsenal. I guess not

Not a lot of time on my Lowrider All ‘Round Fast MHF yet. Only a few short trips. But it is a great rod for soft plastics (mostly TR’s) which is what I bought it for.
