Guys I need some suggestions for a good pair of fishing scissors. Tired of having to run my braided line over my scissor blade because of how dull they are. I want something that is able to consistently slice braided line on the first try. Thanks.

I carry Boomerang Snips around my neck and Wm Joseph Hemocuts with my tools.

You don't really need both; either will do you well with any braid.

Cheap kids scissors from WalMart work very well. $10 worth will last you a lifetime.  Myself, I use the Boomerang cutter. I hang it from my fishing shirt. It comes with the retractor built in so it is always where I need it and I never have to look for it. Scissors aren't as easy to hang on a retractor and they always open up when you do. I used to use the Dr. Slick scissor clamps. They cut very well and double as pliers for removing hooks. They clamp to my shirt so I always know where they are. The downside is if you use them as pliers, they stop cutting braid very well. They still work well for hook removal so I use them and the Boomerang tool.

Keeps removing my link. Just google "KVD Mustad split ring pliers/braid cutters" That think cuts 65 pound braid effortlessly. Also has split ring pliers for changing out treble hooks.

Boomerang Snips for me too...they used to cut braid with zero resistance, but they've dulled just a bit over time and require some braid resistance for a real clean cut now.

Buck Splizzors, hands down. They're going to run you $70-90 if I remember correctly, but they cut braid the second they touch it. Plus they come with a nice sheath and extra blades. I'm on my 3rd or 4th season with mine and I'm still on the original blades.

The trick I was taught, too late for my first pair, is to only cut braid on the back half of the blades and use the front half for floro, mono, and situations where you have to cut close to the terminal tackle connection.  I have been doing this on my second pair and it seems to help extend the life a of them a little.

See if that one takes... I second them, had a pair for a couple of years now and like'em.

Go to freaking Wal-Mart and get a cheap set brother. Fishing is specialized in many ways. Cutting ain't.

Which cheap set will cut braid with one hand?  I haven't found them.  Nail clippers won't cut braid either.  Fiskars kids or crafts will cut it.  Boomerang at $11 for me cuts braid one handed better than anything.  When Boomerangs quit cutting throw them away and get another one.

I use some fly fishing forcepts that have a serrated cutting edge.  They’re stainless steel,  and are always clipped to my belt on a retracting chain.   Only 4” long BTW,  pic doesn’t show scale very well.

+1 on boomerang snip, it is the $10 worth spending. I have mine attached to my fishing backpack so I can grab it easily when needed. Like @fishwizzardmentioned I cut reg line on half bottom part and braid top part. I might have to get a second one soon and this time I'll try to get different color so I can have one just for braid.
