How do you guys store your Senkos while not being used?  In the bag or can I just leave it connected to the rod.  I was wondering if the plastic gets affected at all by being exposed to air.  I wouldnt leave it in the sun, but what about in my garage?  Or do you guys just put them back in the bag?

Split this off into it's own topic, since it unrelated to the topic posted in.

Baits should be fine in your garage.  You can take them off and put them in the bag if you want, but this usually tears them up.  I just leave mine on usually.

Back in the bag works best. Otherwise, they're salty as can be, and they'll rust hooks and hook-hangers.

I have 2 plastic shoe boxes of rigged plastics I keep in the boat. If I cut off a rigged plastic with life left in it because it wasn't what the fish wanted that day it goes in there. I did drill holes in the bottom of the shoe box ot allow water to drain out ot limit how much the hooks rust.

I just had to order a couple new chatterbaits. Last season I switched to 3" swim senkos to try as small trailers for when the bite got tough. Two of them have straight rusted hooks from leaving the baits on the hooks.

I usually leave the one im using on the hook, and keep my supply in the bag they came in sealed up. I have never had any problem with them rusting up on the hook (gammy ewg or wacky) but i have not left them for months either. No frozen lakes here, so no off season.

Keep 'em in original bags if not used.

Put them in plastic freezer bags if used.

No hooks or tackle of any type in bags. Just the Senkos.

Also keep colors together in both bags.

Keep in man cave in house.

+1

Original bags unused, and zip lock bags for used. I once stored a black and blue laminate, a cream white, and chartreuse pepper in the same bag. The laminate lighten up a tad, but the white became a light blue then light green and then a light yellow color and the chartreuse became a neon green with black flakes. They fished fine, got tore up like a Senko. Tackle is removed and rinsed to minimize rusting, and everything is stored inside the house because hot Florida days in the garage destroy fishing gear (think pictures of melted Z-man plastics and swollen, warped Scott Martin crank baits and jerkbaits).

I keep mine in a dedicated plastic  container with trays. I take them out of the bags and separate them according to size and colors. I have a hook and weight box that are separate.

I have a plastic tote box with a handle that holds 4 containers. One of them is for senko s.

I keep mine in my fishing room , which is a little room between my garage and the backyard. It stays under shade most of the day and the gate type door is well ventilated. I don't have any trouble with baits being ruined , unless they get wet in the boat somehow.

I got the organizational idea from @Glenn.  Love it !

Original bags for me. I’ve stored them various ways through the years tho and never had any issues. More of a preference thing for me. Here’s how I store all my plastics:

It rolls up and velcros shut like so:

I left a strike king shim e stick on a gamakatsu in my garage all winter. They are both in the exact same condition as when they went in there.

Fair enough! I’ve noticed some  of my hooks rust out when I do this particularly with chatterbaits.

@optimator search “Plano tackle logic lure wrap”

Yeah, it's not something I do often. But with the more expensive coated hooks, they hold up well. Of course this is after making sure things are allowed to dry.
