biggiesmalls Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 Does anybody know where I can get a carbon fiber reel seat for a spinning reel? I want to do the two parts at the top and bottom to hold it in place and do a cork inlay between them, if that makes sense. I am looking to do something like this. Just need the carbon fiber pieces for it. Let me know if you know of anything. Thanks and tight lines, Drew Quote
spoonplugger1 Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 I doubt they're carbon fiber with that pattern, I think it may be silk screened on much like an oversized version of cobra pattern that used to be available from Fuji. Quote
grub_man Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 You could check in with Billy Vivona, leader of the Northeast Rod Builders (NERBs) club. He regularly gets components from Matagi in Japan. I have no idea whether Matagi does that particular pattern, but it might be worth a look. However, a painted Fuji seat from Matagi comes at a premium price and may take a bit to get in hand. Quote
Super User webertime Posted May 7, 2018 Super User Posted May 7, 2018 Those look Hydro Dipped. Essex makes reel seats with a "better" looking carbon print. You can get them from Custom Rod Components. There are 2 spinning models with carbon checkerboard type pattern Quote
