Like the title says, I don't have a vehicle that I can strap a kayak to. So,  I've been thinking about belly boats (I guess they're called float tubes now) a lot lately. It seems like it would be a great solution for me. But, I'm curious if anyone has any experience transporting one in the trunk of a car. I know they deflate/fold up. But, how compact are they?  The Mustang is definitely not known for hauling capacity.  I've been looking at the ODC 420. But,  have also seen good reviews on Fat Cats as well as a couple others.

It would be used exclusively on a couple small ponds that i frequent. Definitely not taking it out on any big lakes. I'd love to hear about your experiences.

Why can't you put a rack and kayak on a Mustang?  I have a friend that car tops with his Miata.

Funny you should mention that.  I JUST posted my experience with them.  HOWEVER, if you are still interested, I'd sell it to you for very cheap!  PM me.

I haven't found anything for my generation of Mustang. Admittedly, I haven't looked super hard.
