brgbassmaster Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Went out to my secret az lake y'all might remember I was fishing about a year ago catching non stop 5-8lbrs lol. Well no bass but did manage this nice channel cat. Good ol strike king 6xd. Buddies caught a few too. I tried uploading a 3rd pic of a muscly channel cat also lol. But man the fish in this lake are mutants. 12 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 20, 2017 Super User Posted December 20, 2017 Those are some big cats....nice job. I am always mad when they hit some crank bait and i think i have a pig on only to find out it is a catfish. Still a good fight though. 1 Quote

Super User senile1 Posted December 21, 2017 Super User Posted December 21, 2017 I'm sure those cats gave you a fight. Those are some beasts! Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted December 21, 2017 Super User Posted December 21, 2017 If channel cats would "reliably" take lures in all the same presentations as bass, I'd probably chase them exclusively. They fight HARD! Had to be a fun day! 1 Quote

Super User scaleface Posted December 22, 2017 Super User Posted December 22, 2017 Those are big channels . I love catching them myself . On my home lake I troll crankbaits on the flats for them . They are easy to see on a depth finder and if the gulls and white bass are busy the cats are biting . 1 Quote
