Broke on black Friday. Sucks, was going to bust out with the good old credit card but decided not to. I guess I won't be part of the black friday frenzy this year.

I'm not broke, but have bought nothing today, just like normal. My wife bought enough for both of us though.

I just buy gifts for my wife. I don’t want to know how much my Wife spends on gifts for the relatives.

I stuck with the minimum. Had 2 Cabelas coupons for $15 off a $50 purchase and $10 off a $50 purchase that expired on Wednesday. Used both of those on separate $50 purchases for the boat. Today I picked up the remaining items I needed on TW and spent $51 so I could get free shipping. Done until next year. At $150 I got off cheap this year

“El Buen Fin” is something equivalent to Black Friday, “fin” refers to weekend so the sales take place on the third weekend of November starting on Friday and ending on Monday, shopping insanity at best. This year according to the Chamber of Commerce sales totaled an estimate of 100 billion Mex Pesos.

We stayed home on Black Friday other than to run to Talbot's in the Stony Point Fashion Park to get our daughter-in-law her Christmas present.

Have my double coupon from Bass Pro Shops for Black Friday and Saturday but don't plan to venture out into that madhouse.

Look at all the money I saved.

I put a $100 of mad money aside for Black Friday every year as I know there is a deal that I don’t want to pass up.

My my goal is not to spend double that on everything I want. I almost succeeded this year. Almost...

I bought one thing, a miter saw from lowes.  Ordered it online, got the deal and picked it up this morning.

Which one?

i am not a huge fan of dewalt but for my use it will be fine.  Growing up with an electrician dad i have always been partial to milwaukee and makita tools but they are out of my price range right now and probably overkill for what i need anyways.  I am glad i got the 12" though so when i cut 4x4s for the various projects it will be able to handle it without flipping them over.

Aw man...your gonna wish you bought a slider.

I thought about it but figured the times i needed that feature would far outweigh the cost of getting a decent slider saw.  I'll use the larger blade more often than the slider i think.   I also have a table saw already.

Furnace crapped out on Tuesday before Thanksgiving.  The glass-full-me has decided this was a blessing.  Would have sucked a lot worse if it had happened after a few days of Blackfriday-ing.

No shopping for Chop and Ms. Chop last weekend.
