Welcome aboard, Kaden! 12# is a good all-around pound test. Why do you wish to switch from braid? Just curious... Quote

Just curious... Because it just doesn’t come off as smooth off the reel like mono does . So now what brand, I need something with very little memory and something manageable so it doesn’t give to bad of a birdsnest as it would with high memory , and last is something that isn’t that visible in the water. Also something in the 10-20$ range . Quote
Super User Darren. Posted October 4, 2017 Super User Posted October 4, 2017 For low memory mono, I'd suggest Berkeley XL. But seeing I use braid + leader for everything I'd wait for other suggestions to come up from the community here. I used to use XL and it was quite limp. Quote
Hulkster Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Ive been using 10 pound test Sufix Siege for my spinning and baitcasting reels and really love it as an all around all purpose mono line. Quote
Dtrombly Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 P-line Flouroclear Copolymer is my favorite inexpensive line, though it's not mono, it does float and has great strength and low memory. I use this on my jig and spinnerbait rods, in 15lb. 1 Quote
kschultz76 Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo in 13 or 15 lb test. 1 Quote
npl_texas Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I have been using Seaguar Senshi in 10# test on all my cranking set ups. I really like it. Super soft and very castable. You can get 1000 yd spools for $18 on ebay. They have a few other choices at that price as well. 1 Quote

Preytorien Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I use Seaguar Senshi on one...and only one....of my casting rigs. All my others are braid with leaders tied on if I feel like it. Senshi does fine. Like most monos it stretches, has memory, and will break down over time so I don't spend much on it. Quote
