I use a c-rig with a 1/8oz brass bullet weight with a brass clicker, a 24" and a 249W eagle claw weedless hook with the senko wacky rigged in the center of the senko.

The orginal senko product seems to be one senko, per fish caught. Average. Some off the wall brands last longer.

i won't get into colors here.

My record is 15 hard fighting smallmouth on St Clair with the same Senko.;)  It's durable if rigged right.  In a c-rig application, I would use a cheap knockoff because the action of the bait doesn't matter.  Wacky rigging a c-rig is a new one to me since a wacky rig is all in the fall and a c-rig rockets to the bottom and is a drag bait but I go back to my same Senko saying and that is....there's no wrong way to rig a Senko.

I don't understand the mindset of using the Senko as a desperation bait or if their not biting????  If the bait works, why not throw it....especially if the goal is to catch fish?  I do understand that if you prefer an action bait (crankbait, spinnerbait. jig, etc.) the slow presentation of a senko is torture but if it catches fish, I'm throwin it all day, every day and twice on Sunday.

It's really more a mind set change.  I'm a deep, structure guy.  Skipping senkos by and under docks produces where I fish, but rarely anything big.  For me, it's more of a milk run to catch something, if not big.

It was a joke referring to fact that when they aren't biting is about the only time I use a Senko.  I generally use a Gamakatso Wide Gap Finesse hook for wacky, and I actually skewer the bait, most times.  I call the "gave up" rig. :P

Lol - proud to say, I own no Senkos or Sprinkers. Maybe I'll start my own club

Up here caught some of our biggest under docks and some as shallow as a foot of water.

My friend caught his PB under a dock with a wacky rigged Senko. Little over 5lbs.

I wacky rig a senko on a 249W eagle claw weedless hook on a 1/8oz brass bullet weight with a brass clicker c-rig with a 24" leader. The 1/8oz weight gives it a faster fall but it allows me to twitch it as it falls or keep my line taunt as it falls. My rod tip is always connected to the senko. I can feel the slightest touch at the rod tip.

I started using this setup post spawn in the springtime. I caught bass right away. The senko is listed in my ritual of baits i throw till I get action. Remember I fish from shore mostly at dropoffs on manmade dams that were once used for water power centuries ago.
