I have a question. Is there a difference between a spool of Fluorocarbon leader line that sell in 25 yard lengths and a regular spool of Fluorocarbon?

Welcome aboard!

For one the leader spool is going to be more expensive, but

it will also be a different grade line than a regular spool.

There are some posts on this topic in the forums if you use

The short answer is yes, but the difference may be negligible depending on application.

Truth be told, most would not realize the difference.

My go-to is seguar blue, but I do run straight FC line as leader....

Yes, generally leader material will be stiffer, more abrasian resistant, and supposedly a better knot strength. What makes it good at the things above results in a trade off in manageability.

Don't think it's super critical for bass guys, but there is a difference.

What said above is true, leader materisl is stiffer.  I use InvizX as my leader.

It is not, in my opinion, a manageability trade in since stiffness is an advantage in leaders.  It is, as others have stated, stiffer, harder, tougher than line.  One application where it is clearly superior is blade baits.  Being stiffer, it won't tangle on the jerks as much as a limper line.

I buy Seaguar blue label but when it runs out and I use the regular flouro if I have some avialable. Leader flouro is more stiff and heavy duty but I have zero complaints about resgulsr flouro.
